For most people, getting dinner on the table night after night is not an easy task. As cookbook writers we have in the past contributed to this dilemma. Calling for ingredients that no one can find, or even know what it is. And that is a trend in cookbooks that is continuing--with books that are so aspirational, no one will ever cook out of them. Since leaving New York City and moving to rural New England we have a new take on how hard it is to make dinner every night. We no longer have access to delivery services or high end markets without driving over an hour. And we understand the ongoing struggle that most people face and have faced for decades. While we don't have a absolute solution to this problem, we do have a few ideas and ways to try and make it easier to just feed yourself and your family every day.
